They quickly laughed it off together when they were turned down and had a spontaneous tour de bars on Abbot Kinney— finding a shared love for the beach, Hawaii, music, and family (and favorite color, a first date classic).

They went on 6 dates in 2 weeks and were inseparable from the start. Their relationship flourished over the next 5 years. They moved in together into a beachside apartment in Hermosa Beach in 2022 and spent 2 beautiful years enjoying endless sunsets and walks on the strand with Kona. Doug proposed to Paige on their 5 year anniversary on the cliffs of Palos Verdes, overlooking their home in Hermosa. They moved to Encinitas in March to start a new chapter together as an engaged couple.
